Mild soap non abrasive, not too wet.
Clean and remove thoroughly, then dry and condition with a leather conditioning product.
Most recommend Gliptone, but there's Leatherique, Einszett, LeatherMaster, and Lexol.
I've just got hold of some Tanner's Preserve Cleaner, and Conditioner to test and report on - so more as and when I get a chance.
Cheers, tried already but hardly made a dent. More drastic action required !Clean and remove thoroughly, then dry and condition with a leather conditioning product.

Google says that ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alc) is the best stuff to remove it.
Righto ! Next question, where the feck do I get some from ? Local pharmacy or such like ???Worse case scenario is darling daughter is getting a second hand, heated electric recaro out of our S4 for Christmas and a new one is being purchased from her piggy bank.....5 year olds, why did no one warn me ????

Turtle Wax Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. Worked on red leather Merc seats with an almost whole Bic refill emptied on them. Available from your local Halfords.
Tried and failed......onto the brake cleaner now, heard it from a couple of places.Well after what seems to be a combination of all of the above in various ways, its seems to be gone, hardly any marking of the leather either, just in the process of giving it a few good feeds to blend it back in.
