Hi All

Whenever I wash my car I wash the inside of the rims but as soon as I drive it rusty water sprays round the inside of the rim due to the wheel's rotation slinging the water out the vents in the discs.

Anything that can be done to avoid this apart from not driving the car for 24 hours after washing!

Many thanks in advance.

Try rinsing with an open hose rather than a pressure washer at the end of washing until they run clear. A good blast with a car dryer or leaf blower will stop any drips.
Good idea about the hosepipe, thanks.

The rusty coloured water is basically only there because of the contamination on the wheels, generally brake dust and particles of hot disc....what you need is to buy yourself something called Iron X, what this does is break down all metal particles and lifts it away from the paint, spray it on and leave it to dwell, it starts to go purple, you then rinse off and carry on with your general clean....no harsh chemicals and no acid, you can also use it all over the exterior of the car.....
So can you use it as traffic film remover?
