These were at the Flemington showgrounds for the Festival of Motoring. Wasn't a bad way to spend a morning. RACV discount helped out.
Best hall there was this one with the top 3 placegetters from the Best car Awards/Magazine. Had the AMG stand on the end.
You could sit in all the winners, bad move for someone like me as some of the boring Golfs and Skodas were very comfy.

I normally reckon black is the best colour for any Ferrari, though that 328GTS doesn't look quite right to my eyes.
288GTO, but what's going on with that front end, I assume a 308 based replica?
Good pics, thanks.

Spotted this last week on Marmion Avenue heading towards Perth, looked like a genuine left hooker M3?

There was a lovely '87 LHD jap import that looked immaculate and apparently genuine 50k's on car sales recently. But being LHD I think you can only drive it on club plates until 2017. I used to really want one but then I drive one and whilst nice it did feel underpowered. I suspect a modern TDi hatch would leave it behind.Stef

No photos as I was busy trying to keep the legs moving along Pac Hwy, but spotted fleets of older 911s heading north around Berowra this morning. Don't think I saw anything newer than about 1990 - targas, convertibles, whale-tails - all looked fantastic.
Also, as we were getting off the ferry at Berowra Waters, an old Wolseley was getting on. Not sure of model, looked 50's, but also looked in good clean condition.
Lots of other lovely stuff came past us too - I think any were out to enjoy the autumn sun. And that included the Highway Patrol car that cruised by between Galston and Arcadia - as you do!

I've seen three in the last couple of months. Two were sedans and the other was a ute.The Ute actually looks really smart right until the moment you see the tail lights and realise that like Holden, they ran out of money by that point so diddnt change a thing back there! That's a bit odd considering the money they wasted messing with the rear of the sedan.
There was an event in town today - the Macedon Ranges Grant Tour.
Some interesting stuff from there included:
Morgan
Ferrari 400 (I know that because I looked at the badge on the back)
Matra Murena - LHD, one of two in Australia, both of which are owned by the same bloke apparently.
This wasn't in the Tour, it just passed by - 1975 RR Camargue

Bright orange Gen-F HSV GTS (just looked up what that means - 430kW supercharged V8, 0-100 in 4.4sec) pulled up alongside me a traffic lights in Chatswood. With low-key NSW Police light rack on the roof. No markings on the bodywork. Seriously, the bright paintwork really did draw attention to itself, which meant I wasn't looking at the roof at first.
Watch out!
No photos as I was driving at the time and that probably would have, y'know, been feckin stooopid!

Down here they don't bother with roof lights. Two small LED clusters either side of the plates front and back are all they have.Watch out!

Those and too many aerials, which makes them easier to spot

Fits the description of the one I undertook on Friday. First alert from a distance for me was the old yellow rego plates that are rarely on such cars, but always seem to be on cop cars. Then the aerials.Watch out!
