Minilite wheels love -in.
Discussion
I have loved Minilites and their clones with a passion ever since I first clapped eyes on them in 1960-something. It wasn't until 2011 that I got hold of a set of my own though; these were Rota RBs.
I think they look their best on classics, or at the very least something a bit retro with some nice curves.
As far as I know there are none to fit a Boxster, but I would be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong!

Ahh, the good old Minilite (well, the real ones). About a dozen years back I was lined up with an author and raring to go to publish a book on the company, Tech-Del Limited - ie: MINILITE. They were in Somerset then, now in Shropshire. It would have been nice to have done it, can't remember what went wrong, but it's had a colourful history, not without hiccups (here's one!).

What a lot of people (car nuts that is) don't realise is probably one of the first, if not the first, car to have real Minilites (competition use) was the Ginetta G4. It was certainly the first to feature in Tech-Del's adverts. A G4 recently sold was the one and same, and in the same colours as in 1965 (which is odd, seeing as the 'in' colour today is a similar orange). The car in 65 was shipped out from England and raced in Canada by an English architect, Allen Hickling who had previously raced a TVR.
A photograph of the G4 on the front of the grid, next to another G4, appeared in Tech-Del's brochure and in many of their published adverts in British motoring magazines at the time.
This photo can be seen here, in black and white, among those used to promote the sale of the car recently. The strange part about the photo in Minilite's advert is the removal of the Ginetta round badge on the bonnet of the car - see 3rd black/white pic to the right in link below.
Never figured that one out, as all other pics of the car in b/w have the badge in place! Perhaps they didn't want to give Ginetta any more publicity as they were getting loads at the time.

I remember when Tech-Del were at their originally place near East Acton Tube station in West London Great thing about Tech-Del Minilites is their strength...one Roger Clark driving a mk2 Twincam on the spokes in Wales (I think) after he wore out the rim when a tyre went!
These ar my Twin Cam in London Sydney 1993 trim on well used Minilites....but they were fine, and on another rally from Panama to Alaska...Buy the best you can! The alloy ones just bend when you hit something hard!
