I'd happily spend a whole day with an original 427 'street' Cobra...just like this, being devoid of all the silly wide wheels, side pipes and 'race' trinketry that sadly festoon most genuine 427 Cobra these days.
I don’t really see the point of the massive bulbous rear arches without the necessary wheels to fill them. vpr said:

I was never ambitious but always loved the Elan Plus 2, so I bought a basket case and after 5 years hard work ended up with this.
Put 15k miles on that car and loved it, only to sell it when I reached the stage when it was fully developed and could not really be made any better.
Missed it so much that I'm on to my second restoration of a Plus 2. I just love them even though many do not - such an underrated car and delightful to drive
That looks lovely. Always been a fan of these.Put 15k miles on that car and loved it, only to sell it when I reached the stage when it was fully developed and could not really be made any better.

Forgotten that I had one at the same time as the blue Plus 2 - sold it to a friend who then restored it making a lovely job, seen here (restored) with the Evora I bought after selling my blue Plus 2

oh, fotgot a bit about those, love those as well, such great picture in their folder/brochure and in some TVR books in black and white, it looked good.here in the Netherlands there were at least 2 or 3 at some point I believe, also 1 I believe had a swap from RHD to LHD, don't know if those are still around in NL though, special those 420 SEAC
although that one off 600seac or 660?seac? would also do the trck, no Idea were that one went, even a picture of such is rare.

I'm not the first person on this thread to say Alfa Romeo GT junior, not there yet, but in the process of buying this:
Lightly Alfaholics touched GT junior with an uprated 2.0 engine, LSD and Alfaholics suspension/brakes. I'm assured the bodywork is brilliant, but will see over the coming week or two
I'm hoping it will sit alongside my s2000 as my forever garage, as I'm going to have to move the 3.0 GTV on at some point....

I have the S2000 (a 2005 on 24,500 miles - I know, shameful), but not a 105 as yet.
I fear I’ve missed the boat regarding a Bertone coupe, so maybe a Giulia Super, or Spider, could be the way to go.

I was going to write- Ferrari 246 dino, but a quick web trawl shows I'M massively out of touch with reality on prices!!
so I'll go with a couple of previously mentioned
TVR 420 SEAC
Porsche 911 993 coupe turbo
Lotus Sunbeam
Chevette 2300HSR
1963/4(?) Corvette Sting ray
A very fine list indeed!so I'll go with a couple of previously mentioned
