Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! What's that silver thing with the vinyl roof?? I'm stumped.
Yes as pointed out it’s a Corsair 2000E, and next to that is a BMW 840. Both identical to cars I’ve owned in the past.

Funnily enough the red SLC is a 1981 280 - I used to have one in China blue.

It’s like walking past my own personal retrospective...

Keep seeing this parked in the street in Edinburgh. Not bad for something made in 1953.

For god's sake don't post that on the Photos Make My Teeth Itch page - they'll go bananas!

I agree - that Mercedes' star certainly doesn't look straight.

Anyone know if that's a factory colour?

Never seen one that blue, looks good though.

I've not seen it before either and was wondering the same thing. Can't see anything like it online that would have been available in 1989, although there are a couple of blues with no images attributed, such as Biscayne Blue (which I don't think is likely) and Jaguar Dark Blue 255

In general, Jaguar colours tended toward the conservative, and they usually suited the car. That blue isn't conservative nor is it pleasant, and it definitely doesn't suit the car.

Looks like Triumph Tahiti Blue from the late 70's that you used to see Stags, TR7's and 2500's etc in.

Not always. There were bright red and yellow options offered on the XJ-S, as well as other blues.

A friend has a V12 manual XJ-S in original banana yellow. It's quite a thing.

Yeah I know, but its still entirely possible to find them in brighter colours so not entirely impossible that its original (although I agree a bit unlikely, I've not seen it before and I've seen/looked at 'too many' XJS)
