If you're going to park up a car long-term, why stick it where it's obstructing the front door?
Maybe that's just where it died and they haven't been able to move it?I was going to post a picture of a Mk2 GTI parked in the middle of someone's large drive, rather than conveniently in a corner. Did the owner die and the family can't face moving it or, as I heartlessly suspect, the owner is away shooting tigers and the family are too scared to touch it.

I posted this in the similar GG thread yesterday, but it could fit in here as well. Not moved for several years and no MOT history.
Not a fan of the 'fried egg' lights on these, even so, sometimes it's better to let projects go than let them rot, (though we all know that there are multiple reasons these cars sit like they do)There's a house not that far from me that has a small collection of 80's hatch's on the side of their drive, covered in blue plastic sheets, on grass, under trees, they have been there for years, I would hate to think of what condition the bodies and interiors are in now.
The green Mercedes that has been sat on the side of Manor Way in Cardiff has disappeared today. This one:

Was there on Wednesday but now there's just an empty driveway. Hopefully it's gone off to be saved!

Cars aside: that’s a bloody grim place to live. I’ve never understood how people end up thinking “ that the house for me”. https://goo.gl/maps/RYRQN48EZefqyEyV9

The car under the tarp was/is a Gilbern Genie.
Always fancied taking on one or other of those but no time with other projects. Both cars saveable though.

EDIT: Looking back through time on streetview, it looks as though they might have shared the neighbours driveway on occasion too, as there's a red Merc that appears outside their house and then in the neighbours driveway.

Is that a Gilbert Invader?
The very crusty law teacher at school had one, and it was a fave of many of us wee students. I think it had the Ford V6 shared with my Dads Zodiac.
There’s something 2 door E30 reminiscent about them imho, just 2 decades ahead of time.
Gilbern. One claim to fame was that it was the only car manufacturer in Wales. The very crusty law teacher at school had one, and it was a fave of many of us wee students. I think it had the Ford V6 shared with my Dads Zodiac.
