Potentially not abandoned, but this has been sat on the forecourt of this garage for a while.

It’s been chav’d up as well, shame.

Saw this today, don't think it's going anywhere far any time soon. Not been taxed for nearly 40 years. Parked alongside a rural but well-used road. The sliding roof was completely rotted away so the interior is as open to the elements as the exterior. The house was in a similar condition but appeared to still be lived in; wonder how often the owner gets a knock on the door asking about the car.

Cars aside: that’s a bloody grim place to live. I’ve never understood how people end up thinking “ that the house for me”.
Perhaps not everybody has as broad a choice in the matter as you do. An Englishman's (Welshman's?) home is his castle etc.

Spotted these 2 in East Finchley about 0.5 mile apart!

I bought one of these once, a 323i, from an auction for £325. It was described as "no service history", V5 to be applied for and had a short MoT and a blowing exhaust. No keys for the boot were included.

I got it home, cleaned it and in doing so discovered some keys under the passenger seat. Sure enough, one opened the boot.

In the boot I found a complete new exhaust system (two pipes on the 23i), together with a V5 showing no previous owners and the registered keeper to be a company. I contacted them and asked if they had any history for the car. A week later a full book pack plopped through my letterbox with a fully stamped service book, all by main dealers.

After fitting the exhaust and fixing a small fuel leak an MoT was acquired and I enjoyed driving it for a while until the thrust bearing started making a lot of noise. I put it back in the same auction and made £1000 profit.

You put one of those old 323i BMs next to the bloated, angular, they-all-look-the-same models of today and I know which I’d rather drive to work in. In the early 80s, my dad and I would venture out on a Sunday evening in the summer months to tour the local main dealers and look round the cars on the forecourts - this was how he’d see up close what was what without getting hassled by salesmen … and the BMW North Oxford Garage on the Woodstock Road was one of my favourites as you’d see these all lined up looking good.

I think you might be right! It does look impossibly small.

Not a Ferrari 250 then...

I think this Aston Martin Virage listed on eBay has featured on these pages before, but can’t find the post.

I believe it has been on a driveway near Staplehurst, Kent for many years, but at least appears to be moving on from being left to die.

My guess is MGBGT with the hatch missing. Can't quite make out whether there's a fuel filler just hiding under the tarp.

Looks more like a MGB with either the hood missing or folded down.

Thought for a second that scooter was a jetforce, 125cc with a supercharger.
Way faster than it had any right to be, especially once derestricted. biggrin

That one is just a speed fight 2 though.

I'm sticking with a Midget:

(Clue: gap between overrider and bumper end).

I was a bit sad to see this today. Roof slightly pulled back, door open etc. That interior will be ruined. MOT ran out in 2008. Also behind was some yellow thing under a tarp …

Red trim in the bumper and wheelarch trim means that's a GTI rather than a Roland Garros. I always thought that chopping the roof and that roll hoop spoiled the fantastic shape and proportions of the hatch

The looks were seriously spoilt, and although I haven’t driven one, I’d imagine the handling and ride are seriously compromised.

Agree: you can just see the windscreen frame to the left of the precariously balanced upturned armchair.
