Spotted in Middlesbrough today, may have been on these pages before. K608 EEC Not been on the road in 16 years.
Incidentally, is the 'classic left to die' we're talking about the Medallion Man model Mitsubishi - which had its glory days in the summer of '95 shuttling between the local nightclub and a flat full of cream furniture and gangsta rap CDs - or the epitome of broken dreams model 1950s council house - which had its good times back in the sun-bleached, transistor-radio and white heat turn of the 1960s? I know which is preferable...
On a serious note, perhaps the condition of one is related to the condition of the other.

I guess they like a part of the money in cars, not on the bank?
they look a bit sad though and standing on gras/ground? you get a lot of wet ground and moister? coming up getting on all cold iron parst... not really good.
Yes unfortunately some of them are deteriorating. I asked about buying the gold E34 touring (third from the left on the first photo) about 8 years ago and thinking about it the amount was not that extreme, but more than I had at the time. Back then it was MINT, now really less so and it's starting to go underneath as I still check on the car every now and then!they look a bit sad though and standing on gras/ground? you get a lot of wet ground and moister? coming up getting on all cold iron parst... not really good.
To be honest it seems like the guys are semi-retired and opening hours are now limited. It's seems more of a hobby now than anything. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and they often have very hard to find spare parts for 70s-00s BMWs.
They are actually in my village and are 100% the reason I'm heavily into BMWs due to the localness of the cars and spares. One of their ex mechanics is one of my personal friends and was able to fix my stuff over the years when I wasn't... So BMWs kinda stuck for me.
Here's my E23 I got from them about 12 years ago... Though it was stock at the time and was absolutely covered in moss!
A well-sorted Scimitar would be a lovely weekend thing I reckon. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with a neat interior though, there’s always switches missing or the carpets are rubbish, missing trim etc. I’ve seen several in front gardens, gone to pot in the last year. They don’t seem to be worth that much or to be that popular with classic fans.

SE6 onwards have vacformed dashboards, flimsy feeling at the time and by now fragile, the other trim isn't much better durabilitywise.rob0r said:
