Needs to be a fastback to look like a real Hertz Shelby, but still a nice little pony car. Yertis said:
I'm with you up to a point. But I think the need to use modern narrow fonts on cars that would have originally used the older more attractive wider font, just so they can show a BS mark is... BS, really. IMO provided it's in one of the approved fonts and on one of approved backgrounds, either current or historic, then that's fine. Eg I have the original plates for my Quattro which are wide-font, devoid of any BS thingy, and completely legal. If I get new ones made which are exact replicas, they are illegal. Nonsense.
Well said, it is nonsense. Irish plates while not my thing are available for those that wish to have them, but ruling out numberplates on the grounds of a BS mark is a bit odd... Currently running a 'motorbike' size numberplate sticker on my front bumper with the appropriate font/colours for a 1960s car, have been running this for 2 years currently and not had any 'tugs' from upstanding members of the law or any letters through the post. trails said:
Clear indicators look wrong, for me at least...needs tango.
Agree with that , I have a hatred for clear indicators on anything to be honest .I went to the local Italian car spares shop on the way home from buying my latest car to buy orange indicators for it .
I also find that orange are much easier to see in use on a very sunny day .

I’ve uploaded the rear of this Granada estate before but here’s the front … it looks in good nick.
Shame about the modern number plate font!

I always liked the Granada MK2 until I drive a mates 2.8 Ghia X. Admittedly it was 10 years old and my daily driver was an E30 320i, but the drive was just ponderous with poor performance. I’m sure however this Granada could easily tow what looks like a Trailer Tent that is parked next to it.

The Granada looks wrong without the orange corners though.
