I haven't had time to read through the whole thread yet, so forgive me if this has already been posted.

The Ginetta factory (in the Walkett days obviously) in Sudbury. Great cars, lovely town.

Not exactly a factory as such, but still it exists to this day (just) in Surbiton:

Is it the first ever 'Williams' FX3. Crashed in its first race by Henri Pescarolo. Factory I guess is in Didcot?

Yes it is the FX3 and it did crash first time out in 1972.The factory,Frank Williams Racing Cars was in Slough(67-72)

In 1973 they moved to Bennet Road in Reading. Then in 1977 after Frank fell out with Walter Wolfe he set up Williams Grand Prix Engineering in Didcot, and later Grove.

There's a Ginetta G15 (next to the mini van) parked up there.
