Jay Leno featured one of those in his Garage last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4RcyRYVa6U

He was quite taken with it.

My scruffy green Alfa has sneaked into the corner of your pic!
I was admiring your lovely Alfa on Sunday. One of my favourite cars there! You call it scruffy but a dealer would describe it as having great patina.....

Great photos. You've posted the XK120 twice and I'm wondering what we missed out on! Is this The Phoenix at Hartney Witney?

That colour really suits the Vitesse, there was a similar colour available for the 75 which looks stunning, I think PHr has one as a daily.

Meant to post this one ages ago, from a local show last year, the E-Type 2+2 lives just round the corner from me, pity you can't see the whole car as it's on Wolfrace wheels...

The Model A roadster belongs to a VHRA member judging by the 'chalked' number on the deck lid wink

Such cruelty from a fellow car enthusiast, how nice hehe. It looks great wafting past my house, the wheel arches are below window sill height when I'm sat in front of the TV! It does sound rather nice though...

Thought this may be interesting scratchchin my late fathers E type and was hand painted council green (it really was ex council paint) not long after purchase (eccentric bloke) I first see it as a nipper in 76 on a flying visit post purchase , bizarrely I found these images on Google memorising only part of the reg plate eek Yes I was surprised too, it was just curiosity really I know E type's seldom just disappear, it had been off the road since about 1982 tax expired earlier but back then living rural Kent you could drive around for years un-taxed he often did I recall laugh been restored in the last few years from what I gather so no idea wher its been since being dragged out of a domestic garage in 96, So glad its been saved I have vivid memories of this iconic car and FHC series 1's are my favorite smile Back in original colour again and nut N bolt resto hats off to the restorers its simply stunning smokin Anyway ..... .............. .. .. .. .. ..

The Porsche style duck tail on the back deserves a thread all by itself! That is some resurrection... wink

I think my 'ideal' E-Type would be a lightweight replica / homage in silver or British racing green with a factory hardtop and wide Dunlop alloys, or a nice early FHC in gunmetal with red interior... cloud9

There is a perverse side to me that prefers it in "council green" particularly the rear number plate glued (presumably) to the bonnet. I fondly imagine the interioir with Gaffer Tape seats and threadbare carpets.

Yes, it is beautiful as restored but there is something about a "patinated" car. (Yes, I know it is more "knackered" than "patinated" but...)

I get this ^ wink Its a little over restored but I presume its the done thing with the E type due to values and deep pocketed customers no doubt, in saying this the fact its a matching numbers car had a load of spares and v complete inc interior right down to an 8 track player (maybe a few shell cases too) , but less so a Flintstone floor pan and a lack of metal in many areas or certainly did when I see it back in 96

That looks like a 2 seater Series 2 E-Type to me.

Odd, it looks distinctly like a taller 2+2 in side profile when it goes past my house...!

I can relate to that, but it obviously needed major work and it does seem a bit pointless to only half restore it once it is in bits!

That's my dream model E-Type, but ideally in Red (like the Corgi model my mate had when I was in primary school).
