It's almost certainly the Superspeed 351 V8 made for a rich customer but never collected, hence the V reg. My friend Cos bought it in the 80s.

I used to see it @ High Beach, Epping Forest in the 80s.

Aftermarket seats fitted......as its got head rests......or did they fit the lovely Scheel seats (from the RS2600) into the RS31's they sent to Aus..?
The “ 50 “ that were sent out to OZ, in July 74, had to have inertia reel seat belts and head restraints in the front seats.
These mods were done @ the supplying dealers I believe

That 2 piece bonnet (die-cast piece) was only fitted for 12 months or less IIRC my early 3.0GT never made it to the 3.0E or face-lift models frown mine had this original feature which ended up on this one
3100 alloys and front wings !

Love the colour, what happened to it ?
What was it’s reg number ?

In circa late 2010 or 11, I turned down a stripped out resto project one in the same colour green, it had a Face Lift rear panel fitted to it.
Often wonder what happened to it

This 3100 appeared on flea bay circa last October, in Scotland. Not sure if it sold ?

Superb shot from 1970, of DPD 9J with owner driver Holman Blackburn @ the wheel, during the Nurburgring, during the 86 hours “ Marathon de la Route “
Huge thanks to Holman Blackburn for this photo.
