I read about a method of additional sealing for the doors using the following

I haven't tried it though.. I found that alot of the wind noise in my car was from the little plastic triangles that provide access to the side mirrors not being correctly seated..
I had a close look at these after Nom de Jour posted about them. I reckon the profile is right and a task for this year is to source the rubber and make a set up for the two door. http://www.flyingspares.com/shop/rolls-royce-bentl...

Lower one is Pembroke grey, upper one IIRC was a custom choice by Dan, I think from the Porsche range. I’m sure he’ll be along to confirm colour.https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/classic-auction...

I believe it is Nardo grey but I could be wrong. Mine is Colorado Silver which I haven't seen around too often. I do prefer the Pembroke grey over the Colorado silver though.Bought this lovely old lady about 6 months ago, currently back with Kingsley for a little warranty work, hoping to have her back in a couple of weeks!
I first bought a grand's worth of basket case by mistake, got a horrific quote for welding/restoration and bought a Japanese import instead :-)
Has anyone got recommendations for a standard spring kit? I plan to replace the springs and shocks (Terrafirma?) in the spring.
Thanks
JB
I’m not familiar with the range rover classic ABS system, so I’m not sure how sophisticated the ETC was at that time and whether you had ETC on the rear axle. If you did, then each feed would be independent, so that for the ETC, the ABS system could brake each wheel independently.
Also it makes no monetary sense to run two feeds unless you’re going to use them, so given all of this I think you can be pretty sure they are independent.
You really need to get a copy of the workshop manual, read the operation of the ABS system and then follow the ABS bleed procedure to the letter. It’s readily available online in a pdf format.
If you still have issues then I suspect it would be a fault with the ABS valve block or the ecu. So you could also check that all the wires to the valve block are ok and not damaged.

If ETC is electronic traction control, they don’t all have it. I believe it was an option, or maybe standard only on LSEs. Mine is a very late 1993 and it doesn’t have it.
Cappo, the system is split at the brake fluid reservoir into primary and secondary circuits. Under normal use they both work. If the primary system fails the secondary system will operate all the calipers. If the secondary system fails the primary system will operate the lower pistons in the front calipers. Presumably your back brakes are working on the other side?
If there was a fault with the ABS you should get a warning light on the dash. It’s in the middle right of the cluster. I would assume it’s a mechanical fault as your light is not on. There is a complicated bleeding procedure for the ABS system which I will post.

Morning, i am after some properly beard levels of assistance please? I need to try a new MAF on my 91 V8 RRC. Its the latest in a long line of items to eliminate!
All the replacements i can find dont seem to match the part number on mine, which also seems to fit various Jags.
Can anyone help with what a new replacement part number might be? I can go by linking chassic numbers to parts but was hoping one of you all might know. The OEM parts are eyewateringly expensive so it might be a £60 ebay special as im not sure if its worth buying another 25 year old one to try?
My part number is
Lucas 73242a
Manufactured 06/91
Also has Hitachi stamped on it.
Some lovely looking bits of kit on this thread by the way!
