Taken back in 1973 when I had hair, sitting on my 100e fitted with a Lotus block 1500cc full race spec head and cam, complete with 4.44 ratio diff it was quick off the line and fast( upto about 65MPH)and great fun. I have fond memories with this car and it is still parked on a drive in west London

Felix - excellent. Have you seen the "Shed of the week"?

Just for interest's sake, do you recall what your times were?

My memory is in the same condition as my hair, almost gone!,but i think the times were in the region of 14 seconds.I still have the slip of paper you collected after a run with the times on, somewhere.

And I think it qualifies as shed of the week.LOL

I have done all 106 pages over the last 24hrs, whilst at work. This is without doubt the best topic on PH.

I have also been on the phone to the olds, asking them to dig out some old slides etc, especially my step-mum, who purchased a Frogeye in 73, and has kept it ever since (40 years nearly). It was put into a barn in '88, and pulled out by me in '04, before undergoing a very slow restoration. Its just about finished, so it would be nice if she can dig out some pictures. I am going round on Sunday hopefully to try and find some old images.

Hi S10 GTA (Simon),

Please do post an image of the Frogeye (especially as it was) on here, I'd love to see it. You can also check whether is already on the Photographic Database of UK Registered Mk1 Sprites which I compile
www.frogeye.smugmug.com

Cheers

This was taken around 1980 when we lived in Dubai. It was my dads company car, a Chevrolet Caprice Classic and my mums Toyota Carina in the garage. And me on my bike, I was seven!!

Early 70's. Me & my Scimitar GTE, SE5 in Coxwold (N.Yorkshire).
I thought Wolfrace with red vents were dead cool back in the day.
Funny old world, eh?

Small world. Same car, same place, almost the same time. Mums Caprice, and Toyota, and the clock tower to freak out those who only know the modern Dubai hehe

Spooky, will have to dig out more photos. I've got photos from the top of the Trade centre when it was the tallest building in Dubai with empty roads!!
