great pictures, also that V6 A310 gr 4 or 5?

saw one for sale last week with a tuned engine and 350hp, thats some better then the 200-230hp sorts.
Fréquelin drove a Group 5 car during the first half of the 1977 French Rally Championship (that's the one with the wide sloped rear arches). Then they tested the Group 4 car in Hungary, and finished the French Championship with it. Fréquelin & Delaval still hold the championship record of ten wins in the season, having entered eleven. After that all A310 entries were privateers as there was no budget to run the Group 4 car in the 1978 WRC.

Aside from beating Darniche's Stratos, they also beat 911s in 2.7RS, 3.0RS, Carrera RSR & 930 Turbo spec, plus Alpine A110 1800 and Fiat 131 Abarth.

The Group 5 car made around 290bhp from 2.9 litres, and the Group 4 car around 245bhp from a 2.7 litre engine. Race weight would have been ~915kg.

wow, that's some list you named there, did not know that, so they felt better in the Gr4 car, hah, they look good as well and that with just 245hp, thats amazing, although I guess those had short gearing to keep it alive.

Just came across this road example, with the gr4 looks-ish, love that color, guess its very rare or a aftermarket color.

I came across a 928s on the M5 last week and they are tiny these days

Reminded me of circa '89 when my dad had a choice between the 911/928 and chose the 911 because 'the 928 is way too wide'

happy days smile

A little bit small/far away as it's at an angle, but still.

Obviously, as per the thread, everything has become bigger. But pickups in particular seem to have become ludicrously huge in the last 5-10 years. The Raptor that Clarkson drove on Top Gear all those years ago, which was huge for its time compared to a regular F150, would probably be dwarfed by that thing.

I would guess the buyer has somewhat increased in size over the years as well.

The truck in the foreground is a mid-size, maybe Mazda B2000 or Ford Ranger, while the big truck is a full size F150. A valid point about bed size, but they are not the same kind of truck.

That does seem to be a thing with pickups, though. They have become a family car rather than a utilitarian vehicle. Almost all of them seem to be king cab, where as in the past that was pretty rare.
