Shame, if it was a 500 i'd have really wanted it, being a 300, would still like it, just not as much.whistle

Same thing happened on our road yesterday, with a newer Audi A5 Cabrio, and that came off a lot worse!

Don’t visit these parts often so apologies if this has been posted before. I nearly went and had a word. 2 x 635csi gently composting here. Disco as well but there are thousands of those about. In Cambridge.

Both the Beemer and the Disco are showing as taxed and MoT'd.

Maybe it is just the house and garden that have been left to die and rot! smile

Posted a picture of this a few pages back, last saw it about 3 years ago and had to go back today to do a job. Parked in a basement car park on the sea front and not moved for a good few years. When I saw it today from a distance I thought it looked ok but up close you can see the rot setting in along the edges and round the windows. Chrome is shot on the bumpers and paint is starting to lift off the wheels. Think someone must wash the dust off every now and again and they have also put a dust sheet over the back end..
The correct way to repair bodywork rot is lead loading. Used to watch a guy do it (on an FF). Very impressive.

No insurance, MOT expired 2012. I wonder if the owner popped into the bingo, had a heart attack, and left the car behind?

That'll be rotting like crazy with the puddles under it. Such a pity, I love these.
Don't worry, in about 10 years it'll be on Ebay as a "restoration project" that looked as though it was dragged out of Southampton Docks.

Price? £25000.

After I posted the pictures last month it got me thinking that it might be worth enquiring about the car so I wrote a letter to the flat numbered in the parking bay, got an unexpected response after a couple of weeks and managed to buy the Jensen! Picked it up last night..

I'll start another thread with the full story when I get a bit more time in case anyone's interested..

Wow good for you, someone who puts their money where their mouth is. How many of us here would be brave enough to take on the dead cars we moan about?

A house near me (Graz, Austria) appears to contain a Peugeot 205 Lacoste and a pair of disintegrating first gen Renault Espaces under tarps.

The 205 looks reasonable from what I can see, I'll grab a picture the next time I go past

If I had more parking (the joys of European city living...) I'd fancy getting the Pug as a flimsy bit of fun, but as I only have one parking space, and no garage to tinker in, it will have to wait.

About 25 yrs ago my mate was working on his classic and an old boy went in to have a look, he used to do bodywork in the 40s/50s. Mate was using filler and commented that the old boy would think it was naff using it rather than lead and he said they'd have stopped using lead years earlier if filler had been invented, so it depends on your point of view!

Phase 1 Clio V6...
Apologies for the pics but hadnt been down there for years and now can barely see clio for trash.

Guys had it from virtually new and its never moved, just sat rotting!!

Cant see in any of his windows due to hoarding (mainly of wood) and story is he has knocked all his internal walls down and its just a shell inside.
He also pressure washed his roof masking off tiles to spell EL SID years ago...

Following on from my earlier post, one 205 and a pair of Renault Espaces....

The bin is currently parked in front of the Lacoste badge on the 205 on the right rear, and since I'm already shooting through the fence I can't get a better shot.

Might not be as interesting as some of the cars here, and I don't care about the Renault's much, but the Peugeot has some potential to be fun I feel.

what a mentally unwell individual!

... tempting to get a large landrover defender with a sleeper on the front and smash through those pallets!
