Yes something obviously not correctly wired there. Many over the years have knocked on his door and asked to buy the Clio V6 but politely told to go away...
Its so bizarre buying such a valuable rare car in mint condition just to park on drive and let rot...

He has some sort of jeep on drive too in similar state, a big old 80's merc nicely parked next to a telegraph pole in the field opposite too, as well as a jet ski or 2

Wanting to drive a big 4X4 through someones private property just because you don't like the look of it, doesn't exactly paint a picture of you having both your paddles in the water!

Phase 1 Clio V6...
Apologies for the pics but hadnt been down there for years and now can barely see clio for trash.

Guys had it from virtually new and its never moved, just sat rotting!!
Was going to ask if it was, by any chance, in Cumbria, then I checked your profile.

I bought a Renault Kangoo with 182 running gear from a lad in Carlisle and he told me the tale of the Clio V6 he tried to buy.

He called at the owner's house asking about it and he said he was polite enough, then said he had to nip in to the house for something.

He came back out with a shotgun and told him if he came back again he would get it! eek

The BMW's MOT expired on 14 January 2013

At the previous MOT it had 191k on the clock.

Is there a more incongruous setting for 2 dead cars? Immaculate lawn carefully striped, neat edges, tidy shrubs. It's almost like some old boy is carefully tending to his garden completely oblivious to these 2 decaying hulks slowly returning to the earth.

As an aside, can you imagine rewinding the scene 30 years. A Merc W123 and BMW 7 would have been the definitive automotive statement of having "made it" in middle class England, the reward for reaching the top of your profession as a doctor, lawyer, company director or similar. Now they are scrap.

Looks like a Tasmin 280i Fixed Head Coupe.

I'd have that in a heartbeat if I thought I could do it and keep my reproductive gear intact!

100/6 or 3000 ? Let's hope they put the wing spears back the right way round wink Unusual for one to be on disc wheels. Rear lights have been modified to use indicators where the reflectors were (a sensible mod which I have also done on mine). Fog light, rain light or high-level brake light on the rear deck ?

Fact.
I only found out the status of the vehicle having spotted in the corner of my local SAAB Indy.
