If four wheel drive wasn't allowed it would of been a contender. Once the Audi was established the decision to cancel RS1700T was right however by the time RS200 was ready it was a bit late to the group B party. As we know that was a short lived party...
Ending with the death of Henri Toivonen frown

That VandenPlas looks like it might be fairly new, a proud owner taking photos?

Early Rover P4 Cyclops in the background and the Silver Cloud looks well-used; difficult to see but possibly regn CJ 15, before 'personalised' plates were ten-a-penny?

For how long were early Minis badged as Austin Sevens, a couple of years?

Yes, about two years I think.

Station approach, Maidenhead, late '70s maybe...

Dundee in the '70s...

I wonder if the gentleman is some kind of doorman or commissionaire?
I thought he was a traffic warden.
I assumed he was associate with the Rover.

As I remember, there's not much at that spot requiring a doorman. (Been a while since I was in Dundee though)

And back to the P5Bs again - our late lamented monarch getting into her old favourite 'JGY 280'...

I suppose he could be a driver but that's a long coat for being in a car.
If he was a warden I'd expect to see a hat band & badges on his sleeves.

That's pretty bleak! A bit nicer today although I did witness a memorable fight not far from there with 3 or 4 lads having a scuffle whilst their respective other halves stood around shouting and holding the babies. All at about 1130 in the morning.
