I'm sure it isn't one, but don't forget that there was an Ital 2.0HLS auto that "accelerated from 0-60 faster than a SAAB 900 GLS" and was "styled in Turin by ItalDesign".
Original TV ad from 1981 (which lulls you into a false sense of anticipation because it opens with a Maserati Merak):
What an outrageous advert - all about aggressive driving and speed. Incredibly dangerous and non PC. Never get away with that image today Original TV ad from 1981 (which lulls you into a false sense of anticipation because it opens with a Maserati Merak):

The Cav is newer and the pilot is wearing a tie - he's clearly late for a sales meeting in Reading so he'll be in second before Cortina man has even lifted the clutch.
Nah - the Cav is all wheelspin and tyre smoke Horrible bloody cars.....

Hard to believe but my grandma used to make his lunch for him and take it to him from their house in Battersea. Seemed odd, what with him running a cafe. Apparently he would give waifs and strays a hot dinner if they had no money. One day he arrived home with some chap he'd met in the cafe and said he'd be staying until he got back on his feet again. This would have been late 1920s - different time eh?

You must give me the name of your optician, I wish I could see details like that
Black window surrounds & crucially satin Black (tape) on the tailgate around the rear screen. Quite a distinctive flat roof profile and big windows.
RS1600i & RS Turbo didn't have the black rear screen surround.

I wonder what happened to this one from the NCM auction. They also chopped the roofs off Daytona’s to make them into convertibles as well.
It was great seeing them in various stages of undress. & then the finished article.
Our company later moved to a new & larger unit. they moved into next door... & soon became Overfinch.
Lovely to see their ‘Rangies’... they also looked after a Rally 6R4 too. We machined a couple of driveshafts for it, as the ‘standard’ ones kept snapping.
