ETA picture. It might be if those rear wheel panels are removable. I think there's a line but it still looks round rather than square.
The opening photo. The shape looks like the headlights are under some sort of lip see triumph stag
However there may be a boot rack or spare wheel holder on that car just in front that's confusing.

Is this the car you're talking about?
I dont think that's far off. The bumpers and overiders have been removed - it seems to happen to classics why do current owners do that The doors could do with some quarter lights, the bonnet needs a bulge at the front edge and it needs to lose that mid body crease.
There were only 14 built so there may be something similar but longer built too
What happens when the worlds biggest motoring forum cant identify a car.
17 Pages and counting.
"Its a one off coachbuilt car" - This doesnt seem right, The car has clearly had an accident and doesnt look to be a very good condition I.e unpainted/dirty (A car back in them days was still something to be treasured and even more so if it has been coachbuilt) and yet still looks "right" for the period.
My hunch is that the answer is in these pages somewhere already. It is either a mainstream car that the accident has disfigured/bodged by the owner so it can used without needing to be fixed or the boot rack tricking us/ the guy obscuring an important part, but I think its already in here.
Just my 2p

I've followed this thread and each of my thoughts has proven wrong. That bonnet scoop makes me think front engine, so since I'm at the Hotel de France next week I shall take the ruddy picture and see if someone can identify it!
With any luck the bloke in the photograph will be having a drink at the bar and will be happy to tell you all about itJimmy Recard said:

Print off some posters to leave in the shops and bar asking for information giving a link to this thread, the French will be really pleased we're asking for their help.vixen1700 said:

Might be shooting myself in the foot, but what is this?
Photographed poorly like the OP's, less than an hour ago.
If my hunch is right no one will get it. If I'm wrong I need a dunce hat.
