You probably have more experience than me at restoring cars but how could it need ten thousand quid spending on electrics. Wires and fuses on a car that can't be that complicated electronically. Also the seats look pretty damn good. I dont see why it would need ten thousand quid on the interior. Even if you totally stripped it out, replaced carpets for new custom made, custom made headlining and door cards. It wouldn't cost anywhere near that.
I'm not saying its not a basket case. I actually agree with your 30k on the bodywork. But i think you're over estimating some of those figures.
I have never owned a ferrari though, never mind restored one.
Yeah, the possible electrical issues on that car are going to be just a few fuses and a bit of wire only - Simple electrical fixes I'm not saying its not a basket case. I actually agree with your 30k on the bodywork. But i think you're over estimating some of those figures.

Looking at the corrosion to the bodywork, the corrosion to the engine bay, and the mildew inside the car around the dashboard ans steering wheel, you're looking at a shed load of earthing faults all over the car, contact corrosion, dodgy connections, seized electrical motors, seized heater fans, failed air-con control unit, corroded fuse panels, non-functioning ignition system, failed fuel pumps, etc., etc., etc.
If you really think that that car needs nothing like £10K in electrical repairs, I strongly suggest you stay away from Ferrari restorations, because it needs a damn sight more than a few fuses and a bit of wire looking at!

What a load of rubbish, would you like the number of a good auto electrician ?Looking at the corrosion to the bodywork, the corrosion to the engine bay, and the mildew inside the car around the dashboard ans steering wheel, you're looking at a shed load of earthing faults all over the car, contact corrosion, dodgy connections, seized electrical motors, seized heater fans, failed air-con control unit, corroded fuse panels, non-functioning ignition system, failed fuel pumps, etc., etc., etc.

Might save you Many thousands of ££££ on your next project.

I think that's Darenth in Kent? I used to pass it occasionally returniing from Sevenoaks when the M25 was blocked, I originally thought it belonged to the dodgy dealer on the corner. Apparently not...
That's the one. I thought it was something to do with the garage too.generationx said:

I know someone who had both a 400i (I think the one in the add is the most desirable carb model) and a 928 S4.
The Porsche electrics are a nightmare, after several years it still has bizarre failures. The Ferrari was much better one the original fuse box was changed but parts are really expensive so I doubt the car in question had any value apart from a parts car
