Lancia Beta Volumex
Discussion
I wonder if that's a genuine VX or not. Window trims are all silver which isn't right, but it does have the correct bonnet and looks like there at least used to be a spoiler on the tailgate. That said, getting a second hand spoiler is impossible now unless betaboyz have started making them. I ended up improvising after having to replace my rusty original with the spongey spoiler

Thanks for nothing Breadvan...I have now landed up with this! ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

According to the listing the seller is willing to post to UK!
It runs so looks like a good donor car at the very least!
Thank God that ended before I read this.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Looks like a money pit to be proud of.
Very interesting reading this topic with posts from Beta-heads! I've had two HPE's in the past, the first an HP Executive that was bought for 650 quid at an auction and an HPE 2000 IE that I picked up for 280 quid after a lucky drive-by. The Executive was written off by a friend (a long sad story) and the 2000 IE was part-exchanged by my father for a Citroen BX!!
My father actually got me into Lancias after he bought a Beta Berlina 2000 that we drove to Italy for a family holiday. It was a great car with a massive parcel shelf which accommodated my brother for sleeping purposes!
Now I am a little older and supposedly wiser, I would like to revisit those salad days but with a Volumex. I used to see one every day driven by a pilot (I was in the RAF) and would drool every time I saw it. Maybe the romantic fool in me will buy one or hopefully I can convince my father to! Let's see what happens..........

Go for it whilst they are still cheap but I would recommend just going for the best condition coupe you can find rather than specifically a volumex as all betas in really good nick are few and far between. My father bought a new Beta Berlina 2000 back in 1979 (RCK 182T in Red), chose it over a Alfa Giulietta 116 due to the lack of a transmission tunnel therefore allowing me to stand on the floor between the front seats!DELTAHPE said:
Two more vx coupe turned up on eBay this week both look at least half decent and one is a Stratton
Very surprised when the bidding on that stratton went to 4.1k with days to run! not too surprised no-one wanted to advance upon that in the closing minutes.Still waiting for that elusive cheap mint fissore to come my way!

The driver's seat cover looks like a well loved teddy bear.
