We were on a campsite in France on 1st August 1996, the day the P reg was first issued. There was a bloke with such a Montego, whose numberplate he'd carefully modded with black tape overnight from an F to a P. Even at less than 10 years old it was rather grubby and a bit rusty. Those 5-series BMWs could be picked up for not a long until just a few years ago I remember. I'm afraid to go and look at any for sale now, I think the prices would frighten me a bit.
Looking at the MoT history of that red one i saw - it looks to have only come back on the road in the last year or so having been off the road for 4-5 years after an MoT failure due to body corrosion. Certainly looks nice now.

Just after I took the fore and aft shots a voice said, "You're taking photos of my car." I had to admit I was. The lovely lady owner said she bought the car when it was a year old and until recently it was her daily transport. Following a valuation though, it is now to be used just in the summer. Could I look inside? Could I look at the engine? What a lovely lady.
95,000 miles!
