That's a weird looking thing. Elements of Mini and 1100. But those rear lights look very modern for 1958.

Taken by my dads mate in the 1960s (no idea what the exact year/date) which I borrowed and scanned in. Not sure of place but I would guess Oulton Park?. Looks like a Jaguar D-Type to the left but I haven't the foggiest what the car is in front, anyone know?.

Had a quick browse for photos and it doesn't look like a Lister. I agree looks more like the Ferrari as suggested, and you can see the Ferrari style side vents. Anyone a rough idea of what year/race this was?. I'm not knowledgeable on motorsports so I wouldn't have a clue who was racing who.
