MGB GT V8 trivia. The V8 badge appeared in the grille, on the tailgate and the nearside wing but not the offside wing.
If that's cobblers please don't be shy about letting me know.
You are correct...apparently, BL in all their wondrous glory decided offside badges were not needed as we overtake on the right here in Blighty :. showing to the car being passed that you've just been overtaken by a BL MGB V8. Sheer madness of course, and many an owner simply removed the BL badge and added a V8 badge to the offside wing. If that's cobblers please don't be shy about letting me know.
I've got a similar story about 105 series Alfa coupes. Apparently the "Disegno di Bertone" badge only appeared on the right hand (near-side in Italy) wing of the cars. So it could be seen when the car was parked at the kerb(!)
Please feel free to correct me if my memory is off kilter.

If you change the grill back, removed the peak and put normal tyres on it may start to look OK.Saw an old Maxi last night. No pics as it was dark and raining, but it looked a bit of a dog with many different coloured panels. Possibly the owner is slowly renovating it?
