Glazed rear end containing lights was the clue. I dream of finding such things!

Does anyone recall not so many years back maybe 8-10, someone dug out a light metallic green Maserati Khamsin from a garage, very late model maybe A reg/83, RHD amazingly and very low mileage. It was up for auction with either a guide or hammer price of £15k. Although a bit dirty it was otherwise pretty damn nice!

I recall the event distinctly because the national press tapped onto it for some reason, in a "what kind of looney would pay money for this old thing" kind of storyline. Well me for a start if I hadnt missed the auction by a couple of days!

Quite literally the whole classic car balloon seemed to go up almost immediately afterwards, almost by weeks with the whole "barn find" auction mania increasing exponentially.

EDIT: just found it, the Khamsin was actually an 85/C reg, read and weep;

The Maserati is in deepest darkest Norfolk. I will try and get a better pic when I’m up that way again.
