Not my own restoration, but one from a forum I visit through our hobby. An absolutely heroic effort, with virtually every part being hand fabricated by the chaps who restored her. Real craftsmanship at its best, taking the best part of 10 years to complete.

you dont have the link to the forum that the restoration was on do you? id love to see more pictures of the restoration of this!

My second project, a 1960 Berkeley B105 bought as a pile of bits but with no engine suspension or running gear. The pile of bits subsequently turned out to be from another car and were useless. So what to put in place of the 45 bhp Royal Enfield bike engine then? Well an air cooled Kawasaki Z110R of course - and so the Grey Mouse was born:

Grey Mouse, where are you now?

Worst 'I've got a Napier W12 Aero Engine in my garage' post ever; are you going to put it in a special, or just use it as a static display on the trailer thing? I'm reminded of a story C&SC did about a loon who fitted a DH Gypsy Queen into a prewar Ford Pop; a very special kind of madness required.

very cool.

Hi Hide, 80 and all,

Hide, thanks for your interest, it can be really cool in the windblast.

Finding these engines is very hard, it took my several years to locate it and 3 year's to restore and make just about every part needed but when it fires up for the first time it is amazing.

More before and after restoration photo's please.

And this is the current project - still in teardown and trying to convince the wife its worth it! Main difference with this one is I dont have my Dad to provide free labour to sort it.
