I'd just get another integrale if i was you.

An Evo 1 non-sunroof with waterspray. The last one to be homologated and rallied by the factory.

Use your current Evo2 as your daily beater.. smile

How about a manual 5.0 litre V8 Porsche 928 GT or a 5.4 litre V8 engined Porsche 928 GTS. Let Paul Anderson in Stroud service and maintain it, he might even know someone with a good clean example for sale.

And prices are creeping up quite nicely now that all the low quality tat has disappeared off the market.

Might be worth your while to visit the very informative www.928.org.uk website.

I am the proud owner of a red 1990 928 S4 auto as shown below, and am thoroughly enjoying the experience to date.

Subaru Impreza 22B: the dog's dangly bits. Just over 400 built. Ticks all the boxes.
The Subaru is the nuts in Blue with Gold wheels, a legend.

Thanks for all the suggestions lads. Love all the cars and nice to get a few left field suggestions too.

The Alpina is lovely, I know of 2 here in Dubai, very limited run and I have always lovd the Alpina rims. They used to be dirt cheap, however with the EVO's up in price many realise the massive value with the limited Alpina run and the larger lump in it. Good call.

Thanks for that Speedy, I was going to put all the suggestions from other members into one list but you beat me to the chase there mate. Cheers, its like a sweetie shop except we ain't playing with penny sweets anymore hey!

From that this I think these are on the agenda first. Just have to figure out a way to 1) By them and store them in the UK without the wife finding out I have bought yet more cars...and 2) Improving relations even more with my brother so I can store more cars with him! : )

Top 10:
Audi Quattro (RR?)
Audi RS2 (In Nogaro Blue of course!)
Renault 5 Turbo (White or Raider) ....Maybe Clio Williams.
Tuscan Speed 6 (been on the radar for some time now, has to be Reflex purple. Should have bought one last year when they were 15k! not they are 20 plus...still, I think you can get a deal in winter)
BMW M5 of some sort....or perhaps a nice E39 CSi in Silver.
Nissan Skyline (Legend)
Subaru Impreza
VW Gold Mk2 Gti (In that nice metallic green or Blue)
Lotus Esprit (Random addition, old shape in JPS Black and Gold....nice)
Celica (Hugely undervalued at the moment I think and a good purchase)

My mate here has a 205 Rallye with just 30,000 kms on the clock, its mint and I think he would sell. Also my brother in the UK has a 1.9 GTi with like 64,000 miles on it. I am trying to get him to keep it, however he has been offered £6,000 for it and I think he is gonna take it. Annoying. He also has a Integrale 8 Valve but its a little tired, nice though and new rally engine from Auto Integrale with Keith installed for him and its rapid now so good for a laugh.

Many of the other cars are a bit chav for me to be honest. Lovely, but just cant see myself in them:
For Sierra's and Cosworths (Although the Sapphire is nice)
Lotus Carlton, nice...but again too close to the standard looks.
Vauxhall Cavelier etc

Good thread, lots of the usual suspects but also some left field cars I wouldnt have thought of.

Cheers

ts all right man.

When it comes to storing cars make sure you service the car before hand, replace the battery and see to any fluid leaks and alternator issues. When in storage make sure every 3-6 months the engine is started and brought to temprature to circulate fluids and also charge the battery. Also press and decompress all peddles and turn the wheel lock to lock a few times to again circulate fluids and prevent seizing.

If your getting a Japanese import make sure it is as standard as possible as some modifications may be illegal in the UK. Also bare in mind the speedo will be in KPH and MPH parts may be rare and or expensive.

Some useful sites you will want to look at:
http://www.4starclassics.com
http://www.whitedetails.co.uk
http://www.terraclean.co.uk

Anyway post some pictures when you buy it and good luck.

Aye, I bought my Lancia Integrale EVO 2 at 4 Star Classics. Not cheap there, but some nice cars.

Cheers.

On the Audi Quattro, as they are my 'thing', I'd say the RR variant is not quite so iconic. By the time it appeared in '89 the Quattro was getting a bit long in the tooth. Still a benchmark, but not so iconic IMO, and soon to be eclipsed by the Integrale. The RR is very civilised compared to the WR version. If I were in your shoes I'd be looking at the mid'80s WR, with 8j rims, green digi-dash and black badging. Preferably in Tornado Red. It's much more of a brute and was at that time still untouchable. The MB version which followed is (depending on your point of view) either a hybrid, an RR without the good points of the RR, or thoroughbred, like a WR with the added good points of the RR. Some people also think the MB is the best built of the lot – RRs can be surprisingly rust prone. My RR was riddled with it, my MB is rock solid.
