Was waiting for you to come along Ben. Lovely shots, but I hope there weren't many original Minis trying to ford that river! I have many memories of the ruddy distributor problems with rain and water, even after the protective flap was placed in front. Ended up using a plastic bag and elastic band!
Oh yes, must have been half a dozen Austin and Mini Coopers through that ford. Just have to grin and bear it really. The only real cropper was a TR3 with a mad mental cam that didn't idle at all well - he stalled and flooded it quite badly.lowdrag said:

Lowdrag sent me some better pictures (with me actually driving) a few years back, but I'm buggered if I can find them now.
You mean April 2010 by any chance? This isn't as good as the second one:-I realised that half the pictures I've got on my wall of the car have Chris KL driving, and the ones I took this year and last have my bother-in-law behind the wheel. It's difficult to take pictures of yourself driving your own car.
For me this is the best thread so far on PH.... Just take a few seconds to think about what it takes to keep those cars on the road, let alone use them properly, with enthusiasm, and taking them up to the max, knowing the potential hazards. Hats off to all those who use 'I mean, properly use' their cars.
