I'll buy it. What is the relationship between Gilbern and Reliant?
GRP bodywork and Essex V6...?Can't think of much else. Different chassis types, different suspension setup, one's welsh...

I don't think any of the Essex V6 GRP cars were as well sorted or as quick as the 3 litre Capri.
Oooh - controversy!! Having read many road tests and driven both I'd say they were pretty evenly matched in a straight line, however the Scimitar's proper suspension setup vs. the Crapi's cart springs makes it a winner in the twisties I'm afraid. Also, your 3.0S would have rotted away by the time you finished the race!!! (see, I can be controversial too!!!)

Get that on the "real good number plates" thread over on GG NOW!The Quattro is a beauty - love it.
2 from me.
Scruffy looking 944 (is it an S1 with S2 wheels??)
Mid 70's T2 - original air cooled rather than a new watercooled repro which actually looks bigger than the '08 Sharan behind it!

Crayford Cortina MkV, made by Carbodies for Crayford. Almost certainly used a German Ford Taunus TC3 2-door body. AFAICR it cost a lot more than a standard Cortina, hence the rarity.I wish one of you had been looking up at the right moment in Devizes yesterday. I was in my Bristol, by chance only a couple of cars behind a Aston Martin DB2/4, in some sort of road/race trim and sounding epic, when a Frazer-Nash Le Mans Rep went past the other way! A good threesome I thought. Sadly the Aston turned off in town before getting to the dual carriageway out of town, where I had been hoping he'd give it the beans down the hill for my aural pleasure!
Right, yesterday we had to take the Škoda to the menders because the electric windows were failing after only five years of existence. Sitting in the garage was a 1979 Dino 308 GT4! Some may also be interested in the 1989 Ford Sierra above.
After that we have to go to Tesco and look! - there's a Scimitar! It's a Middlebridge Scimitar, no less, one of only 78 made! Princess Anne had one of those, you know.
Following that, I went to Camden in an unsuccessful search for a drape. I saw a 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible.
In the Stables I was drawn into a mod shop (why are there no rocker shops?!) as a result of seeing some Lambrettas and a 1962 Trojan 200 inside.
Finally, on my walk home from the train station, I see another XJ-S, this time an '88 model.
