I remember when the 250 GT Lusso was about £600k, and I thought 'I wish I had the money, as it is amazing, and they will be millions soon'. I didn't, and they soon were.

I am convinced the Daytona is next. Glorious.

I’m going to say something terrible....

When I was 6 I was MAD about cars and I was very aware of the Daytona.

I wasn’t up to date with the motoring press etc so I had no idea what cars were coming / being launched etc

I remember seeing a Rover SD1 for the first time and being sure I’d seen the latest Ferrari!

It was the plexi Daytona and 400’s lights that did it!

I'm not. I think the Daytona has had its day. Yes, classic car values are on the up, but I don't think the Daytona will get to 250 Lusso levels. The next wave will come from younger stuff.

Oh, and I think the Lusso looks like it's been left in the sun for too long. smile

On balance, the Daytona’s the prettier of the two for me and is more distinctive than the 250 Lusso. As for the current Lusso (GTC4), it’s not worthy of the name eekvomit

The 328 in the photos above looks really good and has nice classic lines rather than the modern shapes and they still seems to be good value.

This appeared in our road this morning. I don’t know the first thing about Alfa’s but it certainly looked nice.

Is it a 1750 GT Veloce?

Oh. OK.
Well I thought it was a worthwhile post. Not an everyday sight over here.
good spot IMO, and quite cool.Post malaise era US metal is very durable. Leagues ahead versus European stuff in dependability. No major service items before 100000 us miles
Well I'm glad some people appreciated it! Some people on here make me wonder why any of us bother rolleyes

Looks lovely but is it a bit high at the back? Or perhaps it is the camera angle?

Car is correct. 7 bars on the grill and not a stepnose.

It is high, there is a problem with them sitting on the spring mounts rather than in. Maybe that...

Riley Pathfinder drop top?
I don't think there ever was such a thing. And it's not either an RMC or RMD.
I would think Lagonda, but the number plate doesn't seem to match anything.
Definitely a Lagonda. A 1952 Lagonda 2.6 Litre Drophead Coupe to be precise.

Others posters have already identified it, but it is this one... https://www.handh.co.uk/auction/lot/13-1952-lagond... ...sold for some change out of £35,000 back in 2014.

Good work! It lives local to me so I'll see if I can get a better shot if I see it out and about.

I thought the ride height looked a bit high, but Googling for pics suggests it’s about right.

It's a 1750gtv Mark 1 by the looks of things (indicators mounted on bumper and not into front valence). I also think it looks high at the back, especially as the road is sloping down . I would be taking an angle grinder to the rear springs on that were it mine.
Looks nice in that colour though.

Yes, Mark 1 1750 GT Veloce in the best colour. biggrin
Does look a bit high. Maybe it’s on new springs and they will settle.

Just seen a genuine '53 Jaguar C-Type, reg PUR 120 in the pouring rain in Leeds rush hour.

Assumed it was a replica, but it's been to Le Mans multiple times and still has the original paint job.

Best thing I've seen in a long time. thumbup
