Don't think it's the 1969 one as the pics I've seen of that one have Lightnings next to the Scimitar. The Vulcan in the pic with the Orion was at the 1967 show according to an article I've read.

That was a real help, based on the P-3 Orion and some of the registrations I think it is Brawdy 1967.
There was also a big Naval Air Day Airshow at RNAS Bawdy in Aug 1969 which could be another possibility, as weather matches with photos taken at that show as well.
I'll dig some more out, there are a few with multiple aircraft that might help confirm things.

They were the original 'Police Interceptors' I believe, I'm sure there was something on BBC4 about them a while ago. I think they were the squad who also had donated a pair of Ferrari 250GTEs (one of which was immediately written off).

Always liked the lines of the 250GTE, and the Lancia Flavia 1800 Coupe which was similar from some angles and also done by Pininfarina.

We went on a family holiday in 1970 that was a tour around Italy - Mum had a Fiat 600 at the time and they were everywhere!

They were built under licence by Alfa Romeo.

(It is Brawdy, by the way - one of the slide containers has it written on a list of places)

Three pictures from the Potteries.

Is that an Armstrong Siddeley?

The Scimitar Coupe must have been quite a rare sight.

Same location, but about 20-25 years apart.
