Edinburgh. Nothing unusual that I can spot, too early for a Renault 16!
105E came out in 1959 so I guess it's around then.
British Army Bedford RL lorry on the left, is an unusual spot (army reg plate and white convoy disc clearly visible at the rear)105E came out in 1959 so I guess it's around then.
I'd say photo dates to about 1962-64 era.

Seeing those Mini vans above, these must be getting rare now?
It was mine. Bought for peanuts to lug my books around. I had just been to an author's house and mentioned I needed something better than my normal transport (cars) to pick up and offload the books. He said he'd seen a 'van' just down the road for sale with 'offers' on the screen. I did the deal quick, it was that cheap I wrote the cheque there and then. It cleaned up nice, the x-spokes came with it. It squeaked like fk but did lots of miles in it.
I actually 'gave it away' at the end which seems mad now. I kept the 'rare' guard behind the seats which I sold for more money than I paid for the van.

Is that a Volvo Amazon in the centre pointing to the left? Also the Mini Estate with the green door has some major exhaust action going on!P5BNij said:
The VW 412 Variant looks new there. Also the Cavalier in the second pic would date it to after 1976. The SL Pagoda looks well used!

[quote=P5BNij]Great pics - apart from the garage on the corner being used for something else now, that area of Banbury hasn't changed much at all.
Thank you.
It really hasn't has it.

I'm not sure about the Volvo but yes looking again the Mini does have a large exhaust!
