Apparently it's in Weymouth, I guess Stirling was going to try out the boat.

Edinburgh. Nothing unusual that I can spot, too early for a Renault 16!

105E came out in 1959 so I guess it's around then.

British Army Bedford RL lorry on the left, is an unusual spot (army reg plate and white convoy disc clearly visible at the rear)

I'd say photo dates to about 1962-64 era.

This rather nice image taken in Eastholm Green, Letchworth popped up while I was looking for something else.... I do like the old Frogeye....

No idea on the location but the file name says it's a visit from The Beatles.... probably 1963 or 64....

Fords are popular !

I know, I know, some of them are probably Anglias or Prefects and the big one is a Consul

Yes, it looks like a Hillman SuperMinx 7th back in the centre lane of oncoming traffic; that would date it to late '61 at the very earliest.

Seeing those Mini vans above, these must be getting rare now?

It was mine. Bought for peanuts to lug my books around. I had just been to an author's house and mentioned I needed something better than my normal transport (cars) to pick up and offload the books. He said he'd seen a 'van' just down the road for sale with 'offers' on the screen. I did the deal quick, it was that cheap I wrote the cheque there and then. It cleaned up nice, the x-spokes came with it. It squeaked like fk but did lots of miles in it.
I actually 'gave it away' at the end which seems mad now. I kept the 'rare' guard behind the seats which I sold for more money than I paid for the van.

Great pics - apart from the garage on the corner being used for something else now, that area of Banbury hasn't changed much at all.

Carry on nurse - somewhere in London in 1967....

Also London, possibly Fulham Palace Road (?) in the '70s....

Holland Park in 1979....

Notting Hill in the '70s....

Is that a Volvo Amazon in the centre pointing to the left? Also the Mini Estate with the green door has some major exhaust action going on!

The VW 412 Variant looks new there. Also the Cavalier in the second pic would date it to after 1976.

The SL Pagoda looks well used!

The lads standing around the 1600E seem to be admiring the contents of Keith Ripp's Edmonton emporium having been bolted to it..... smile

Thank you.
It really hasn't has it.

I'm not sure about the Volvo but yes looking again the Mini does have a large exhaust!
