Notting Hill / Ladbroke Grove / Westbourne Park area...

Gladys Street, Goodison Park, Liverpool....

Queen Street in Birmingham, the road that spilt the original New Street station in two (the 'Midland' and the 'North Western' sides) before the '60s rebuild....

I'm told this could be Hagley in Worcestershire, 'HOP' was a common Birmingham marker....

A day at the racers somewhere, with Jags, Rovers, Bentleys and Rolls Royces galore....

Camden Town....

That Camden Town photo is grim - the epitome of deprivation
?? What makes you say that?
Just my impression - what redeeming features do you see?
Very grim looking, you can almost smell the coal / industry around. Bet that chap in the long coat and hat is probably only about 40
On the other hand, no graffiti or litter.

Nor obesity!
On the orig post it said 1960s - nah, that's 1950s at best, if not early 50s.

As for 'grim', and 'what redeeming features' for those of you not around then we were still on fking food rations until the mid 50s.
Yet, in spite of all that there are several cars, the guy in the long coat in his 40s (lol) is more like in his 60s, and if you look there's a young boy chatting to whoever is in the car further down the street (in his short trousers, clean white shirt, shoes - yeah, deprivation LOL) - and what are probably builders lorries on the right hand side. Curtains in all the tower block windows, building as tidy as some tower blocks I see these days!
Campden was bombed during the war you know, the tube station taking a direct hit.
Took a while to get back to some sort of normality.

Today? Kids go hungry and council's can't even repair potholes, shall I go on?

From a nostalgia based facebook group, no details on the location but the 356 is alive and well and is now red....

Not a helmet is sight so I would guess pre'73, is that a Capri just in shot on the right?

Rather concerned there is no interest in Jaguar D-Types, World Champion Mike Hawthorn or Circuit de la Sarthe (ref video I posted on Saturday). Street scenes are far more popular. Regardless I'm going to post my favourite classic motor sport video. Only 46 year's old so probably far too new for this forum.

Baby Bertha is still racing in CSCC Special Saloons:

Wing is the wrong shape for a P6, also no sidelight/indicator.

Could it be a Triumph of some sort?

I'd say late 50's judging by the design of the post war new build block of flats built on a bomb site.

My good mate was Camden born and bread and in that era, I'll send it to him and he might even be able to identify where it is.

I thought P6/2000 but can't see chrome rings around headlights nor side light at the front of the wing. Could be a Consul Classic ?

I'd agree - the front wing has been removed and we can actually see is the rounded section at the top of the inner wing panel, they were shaped this way give added strength and to allow the original gas turbine to be fitted, before this idea was abandoned and the 2 litre four pot was chosen.

A couple more oldies, both in Birmingham....

Concerned...? There's interest in all sorts of stuff on here, put the kettle on and have a gander through the thread at your leisure! The street scenes tend to give posters a chance to test the old grey calls, trying to identify something grainy but perhaps slightly familiar in the background wink.

I'm pleased you said that thumbup I was poised to delete both Mike Hawthorn and Gerry Marshall videos due to lack of interest wobble
