How times have changed...... my grandson wouldn't have a clue what a hitchhiker was..... There all close together aswell, what would happen if you did stop.? All four come running towards your car... I used to pick up the occasional Trade Plate Hicker but don't even see them these days...I'm sitting around waiting to go to work, might as well post some more....
Looking at the rake of the windscreen on the P5B bottom right I'd say it's a saloon rather than a coupe....
When I do get to work later I'll be sat around for a few hours waiting to make a move, a good opportunity to browse the classifieds yet again

This pic is a bit later than the others - early 80's I reckon. The Citroen GSA was launched I think in '79, and I've just looked up the Autobianchi A112 and that red one has got the plastic side cladding also from '79.
Is that half a blue Honda N360 right in the bottom right? And what's the pale blue car centre bottom behind the red hatch (Simca?) going away from us? Panhard?
Tissier SM Plateau! What an absolutely mental car to use as a base for a commercial vehicle.

I know they were of the time, with De Dion rear axles, but for me, the P6 was an awful car compared to the glorious P5 and P5b. What were they thinking?
They were huddled round a a large and very old oak table thinking ‘’we need to break away from the stuffy old ‘auntie’ image we’ve lumbered ourselves with since the year dot’’!Having owned three P6s and two P5B coupes I love them both but given the choice now, I’d have another P5B in a heartbeat. My mate is egging me on to buy one at least twice a week but my Mrs is saying ‘’oh gawd not another big wallowy Jewish car, please’’. (Family joke!).
Some wonderful Frenchness in these. Reminds me of childhood holidays to Tunisia and Morocco in the early 1990s when these were exactly what was on the roads of N Africa quite widely.
