Lovely looking car, of course it's just known as an MGA 1600 because when they made it they didn't there was going to be a MkII

Also I see you have what I would call the DeLux Ali' side screens with the flared lower edge. Nicer than the ones with a big rubber flap IMO.

That's the 'official' place. I've seen them centred, which does not look much better, and the Americans get away with no front plate which looks much better.

I think you could probably mount it lower and further back, almost against the black lower spoiler, I might mock something up and see if it looks better.

Glad you approve, Some interior wood work to sort out and other cosmetic bits, pluss need to fit a vintage radio and get rid of the terrible retro plastic one, but its a lovely motor for wafting around in.

Two stunning cars above. I am a massive classic mercedes fan - it must be a real pleasure to set off behind the star on that lovely looking car.

The 635 looks great. Do you have a thread covering the restoration? I would love one of these, but a quick dabble with a E23 732 taught me that I need more mechanical expertise, garage space, and a good bodyshop contact to be able to keep BMWs from this era in good condition. I love the way they drive and look though. Congratulations!

I searched for a long , long time for a good early E24 and ended up buying this unmolested one to restore so I could get it the way I wanted .
