Period pics?
Yeah, no need to wait for an invitation. Feel free to post as many as you want I've read many different versions, but most meet at the idea that it cost them two '69 Chargers per week of filming. At certain points supplies of '69s were so tricky that they'd use other year with the '69 nosepiece and taillights grafted on.
Almost as horrible as what happened to all those Mopars is what happened to Catherine Bach, mind you

This +1. Always much maligned but a superbly correct style of Bond film. OHMSS, FRWT, the Daniel Craig Casino Royale and, of course, the excellent Skyfall.
My four would have to be (in no particular order) Skyfall, The Spy Who Loved Me, Goldfinger and OHMSS.Following would be Moonraker (really!), Live and Let Die and Diamonds are forever. Goldeneye is mellowing nicely though.
A few more Police car pics. But 1st I see there is a requirement for a Diana Rigg photo first?

There is a great web site for those into Police Cars: http://www.policecaruk.com. They have a great page which shows old Police car Adverts from their trade magazines. Rarely seen in the wild. http://www.policecaruk.com/PoliceCarAdverts/Police...

I remember the Met using the Angle-boxes as the first 'Panda' cars, they were in fact, originally painted black and white (hence being called panda cars) before they adopted the pale blue and white colour scheme a short while later, but the tag, Panda stuck for ever more. The Angle-boxes and then the Escorts were short lived in Met use, as the Met didn't get a 'good deal' out of Ford, so after the first trial batches the Met bought the Moggy Minor and ADO16 Austin's instead. The black Mini van partially in shot on the left of the first shot, is almost certainly one of the first batches of 'dog vans' introduced into Met service in the mid 60's.

This actual Jag still exists today, and has been restored back into it's period Met. configuration That MGBGT is hilarious! I especially love the way they didn't even bother repainting it from NHS Hearing Aid Beige
Wonder what they did if they ever had to nick someone..."You'll have to squeeze into the jumpseat, sir. That's it, mind your head. It's best if you sort of lie down and pull your legs up into the foetal position"

Is that the same one which is now black and was displayed at the NEC Classic three or four years ago..? If so, it's the car that was used to transport one of the Krays when they were both nicked in '68.More stuff on the new thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Here's a period v today film:
Portsmouth 1983 and 2012, roughly the same route. Fascinating to see how the cars have changed so much, the streets less so
