COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
No picture as I was on my own and driving, but a lovely condition Austin A40 Farina heading down the M6 and then the M61 from Preston this morning. It was that turquoise/green colour and was the Countryman model with the hinged rear window.
No year indication on the number plate, so I'd assume a pre 1963 car. Was keeping up with the traffic too at a steady 60mph or so.
I love those little cars and, if I had the space, would have one in an instance.

I followed a maroon Integrale this morning that had the look of a daily rather than a garage queen. E reg, probably 8valve (?) being driven in a careful and considered manner by a chap of advanced years. He pulled into an opening and let me past as he seemed happy to roll along at about 40. Very smart and petite it looked too compared to modern tat.
I've changed my regular cycling route, and keep passing an Austin Maxi parked up in a farm yard. Best described as a "dirty yellow" colour.
Also last night, a nice old (early 1960s?) Mercedes-Benz 220SE (W111) saloon. Parked outside a very ordinary 3-bed semi, and looking like 'The Mutz Nutz' nestled among the modern family cars all around the place. Just down the road there was a Corvette Stingray on another driveway. Seems like the sun has brought some truly lovely classics out into the open air.
Edit: I also spotted a mid-blue Austin Maestro parked outside the parade of shops opposite Tower Hill Garage in Cove/Farnborough on Saturday morning.
I really need to sort a new camera. I hate posting these "text only" spots, and being on a bicycle when I see most of these cars, it'snot like Ilack the opportunity to take photos...
