Far rarer than you'd think. In Zagato form the UK, 250-300 cars, possibly less? Does anyone know? Came very close to buying a super Zagato last year, orange with a black vinyl roof...these are one of those 'pretty' cars that causes the proverbial itch. OP, that's a great looking Fulvia you have there...always thought the Zagato was screaming out for a bigger and higher output engine.
Hi All, I've not had the car long, about 6 months. It's only had 3 owners but been off the road since '95. It's been recommissioned by a local specialist prior to me buying it. It's a nice driving car as they say, but needs some cosmetic work. The Fulvia Sport Zagato I believe was Zagato's most prolific model. Mine is an all steel Mk2 1.3 version, the first 900 or so cars were all alloy in typical Zagato fashion. The biggest engine was 1.6, but the Fulvia generally isn't about straight line speed more about being nimble with delicate handling. Great cars to drive! Always thought these looked better than the roadsters. The clean lines of a coupe over the never quite right bulkiness of a folded up soft top. The AMV8 coupe compared to the Volante. The XJ-S coupe compared to the convertible. There are few things better than open topped motoring and I'll always have a decapotable something or other, but my Merc SL looks far better with the hard top on than with the soft top up. I must get round to buying a V12 E-Type coupe while all those discerning buyers are creaming themselves over, er, external bonnet catches. I mean, I love a visible hinge as much as the next man, but, you know, just f

I was clearing out some old photos last night and came across these, my 1977 911 carrera 3.0.
First photo was taken almost immediately after I bought it in 1995 with ATS "Cookie Cutters" and naff "Carrera" decals

Second photo after the decals had been removed and it it was fitted with 16" Fuchs wheels off a 3.2 Speedster (I bought them NOS for peanuts from Arlington Porsche in Northampton)

I know what it is! I was asking for more details of the car itself, history, condition, long in ownership etc ... And rare is all relative. When did you last see one on the road?!![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
Christ.
Perhaps you should post more clearly and not get your knickers in a twist when someone tries to help you out.
"Not that rare" - ffs!
Looks a nice car, thought the picture is getting smaller all the time..

It's sad to reflect that this thread that it has descended into yet another Pistonheads internet argument. It's standard fare on GG, The Lounge and the F1 section but not here. Fact is the original post was ambiguous and it's petty to extend an argument over such an insignificant point. Now can we please get back to pictures of classic cars?
Sadly this isn't a real one!![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

If it was Birkin Blower No.4, you would be Ralph Lauren! Sadly this isn't a real one!

It's funny, just when you think you've had enough of E-Types, someone posts this and you go all "wibble" again! Stunning car, and great photographs too! It's one of those cars that you just can't stop from drinking in the lines, and just when you think you have, you find a different angle you hadn't seen it from before.
Congratulations sir, you do have a beautiful car there.
