Hi v8250,

Thanks for your interest, I have run the engine at Brooklands at the 2011 Double Twelve along with the Napier Bentley and the Railton but I don't attend any lectures.

A very kind offer.It is now rebult and running well with a lightend flywheel,3/2/1 heatwapted manifold,ported and polished head and a new cam.The only problem was the cam bearings,sorted in the end.Block was rebored new H/C pistions, crank regrounded and head planed.

It is fitted in a 1961 Mk2 MGA.

Seeing as one of Richards Rally cars is on here [ great job btw ] here is mine. Originally a 1979 1600 sport, I bought the shell in march 2010 and got it running in May 2011.
Last pic was taken at the Coracle stages rally at sweet Lamb on 22nd this month, ½ shaft broke on the last stage!

Look forward to many more great pics and stories.

That's almost exactly what I did, plus bullet valve guides, into an MGA 1500 with a ford type 9 sive speed box and a 3.9 diff from an early B, went like the clappers!

I hoped that this weekend I might get a little step closer to a Lion, however it didn't come together. Slowly slowly catchy monkey....

I was thinking of adding mine to this but the standard of work already on here is awesome. I only rescued a slightly rusty racing MGB,
