Oh well spotted Dapster. I’ve been looking at that photo and thinking I know that place. I even tried street view but it looked different somehow. Thanks for pointing out that I’m not yet too daft laugh

Same here - near the Robin Hood? Lived for a bit just off Abbeydale, closer to Nether Edge

It looks more like the truck belongs to someone from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with a name like that smile

I posted this one in an earlier volume but as it's the fifty eighth anniversary of the Mustang's launch I thought it deserved another airing - this car was sold to 22 year old teacher Gail Brown (now Wise) on 17/4/64 and she still owns it...

Just found these in my bits and bobs. Taken in Bamford & Martin's works in Chelsea, where the first eighty or so Aston Martins were built.

Prototype / Team Car / Chassis B2? Possibly all three. Broken up in 1936.

Points for the name of the road.

Ten points.

IIRC developers had a go at renaming it Vantage Place or somesuch, but I can't find any reference to it.

That’s the development behind 53 Abingdon Road:

Aston started there (Henniker Mews) in 1913 if I have my yrs right.

11 yrs earlier and another famous Brit roaming the back roads of a south coast town.
