Sorry, don’t know. A quick Google suggests it’s one of Ashley’s rare fastback mods with not many made or surviving it seems

Smart little Chevy in San Martín de los Andes yesterday. I love the exhaust tip shaped like the Chevrolet badge.

Is it not just one of the South American variants? Like the booted sedan?

Hillman Hunter - Has there ever been a more inappropriately named vehicle? Answers on a postcard.

p.s. apologies for non classic content, but then again if a Mk3 Escort can be classic, then I guess we're leaning against an open door

This looks like a good basis for a new thread - inappropriately named cars - unless we’ve had one already?

Exceptional. No need for a separate thread. You win hands down and I do hope you own one.

Dunno about cool or classic but this Smart Roadster made me smile yesterday.

Always fancied trying a Smart Roadster. I probably should before too long. Not so sure I could live with the tail end epithet applied to that one though!
I showed this to a mate who's a retired copper now - he chuckled and then said ten or more yrs ago he'd have pulled that Smart over. Today? Nah.

Strange how times change, as he pointed out he used to pull loads over with dodgy spaced reg plates. Today they (dodgy plates) get away with impunity. I must say I see more dodgy plates today than I have in years so he must be correct.
He's not. I got pulled a couple of months ago.

Maestro van …

I had put this in the rotted thread but then checked and it has an MoT and is taxed so needs to be in here. Cool classic though?!

Almost certainly, once you get to around sixty miles an hour.

At the mention of a Maestro van I thought of this one...
