I know that Kensington Gardens is posh and up market But a Rolls Royce ice cream van
is taking things a little bit to far.

Another fancy Mr Whippy - we were stuck behind this yesterday rarely travelling more than 40mph...

In the local transmission emporium in Newbury:

Black SUS, piano hinge bonnet...

cloud9

The lad showing me said he thought it was a one off. When I raised an eyebrow he said the owner also has a DB9 Shooting Brake. We should take it seriously.

No photo but saw a Bond Bug in Woodford just now. Only the third one I've ever seen.

Wife wasn't persuaded by its charms unfortunately as I've hankered after one since having a toy one as a child.

Near Crewe today.

Not sure what's going on with the front wheel, but I love that.

I'm wondering whether it's a bouncy hydraulic thing.
That appears to be a reasonable assumption:

At Curborough today, I was rather surprised to see a Bond Equipe competing.

I suppose "why not?"

Another fan of the late Barry Norman!

Did the Bond retain the swing axles of the Herald/Vitesse? Interesting handling on the corners.

I'm sure you could have a Golden Gaytime in that van.

Ha ha, very good!

The worrying thing is that I typed that without even thinking of BN.

They were built on the Triumph floorpans, so yes.

In a garage in the sticks near Lambourn.

I've no idea whether it's genuine or not but the evidence suggests it's used hard.

The Herald and its derivatives could be considered to have separate chassis.

The later ones (like this) had the Vitesse Mark 2 suspension, an altogether better system.

A gleaming black (1948-1951 type) Vauxhall Velox LIP (or perhaps a Wyvern LIX ?) spotted this morning outside a house that's been for sale recently.

I've previously caught the odd glimpse of it in the garage behind other stuff on the drive, but this morning it was stood out in the sunshine looking absolutely bloody lovely.

G is too early for a genuine RS2000 but so much Vin plate and shell swapping went on with old Escorts ,especially

competition cars that it's difficult to know what's genuine and what might be a "Trigger's broom".

I'm not convinced the wing badges were riveted on like that either wink

If you don't want them to be pinched, leave them at home.
