1959 XK120

Search on the reg. Loads of info.
Can't be 1959. Production ceased 1954.
You can't come around here with facts. It's on the internet. It must be true.

paperbag

It's ridiculous, somewhere inside i should have realised '59 was too recent. It's only just shy of the E type. Apologies.

But here's what came up:

I guess it was an import.

1952 by the looks of it. Had I bothered to read it properly.

I saw this on a road trip a couple of years ago but don't think I ever posted it. Cooler than a penguin's flip flop.

I saw a Citroen SM in Desborough, Northants a couple of weekends ago in exactly that colour. The SM sported yellow headlamps. First one I’ve seen moving in the flesh since the one I saw Marjorie Proops being driven in, in London, in the ‘70s.

Covent Garden yesterday

I wasn’t quite sure what this was in Crouch End yesterday, but it is apparently a Toyota Crown. Possibly not a classic, but certainly rare.

Slight threadjack - I had a 1978 Toyota Crown in the mid 90's in NZ. It was a great car - full chassis, chrome bumpers, 2.6l (I think) I6 and a 3 stage auto. It was immaculate, and so quiet inside you could hear the clock ticking. It was a good cruising car - comfortable and wafted along nicely.

It was similar to this one but without the dorky mirrors, had maroon paint with a beige vinyl roof and different hubcaps.

Needed something parked next to it to give it scale, bit bigger than a Hilux…

That's what the Hilux is for.

If it hasn’t eaten the Hilux for breakfast…

The rubber duck qualifies the driver to say "Let them truckers roll, ten-four".

Did anyone else have the Tamiya 1/10 scale radio controlled version in the early 80's?

I though this would be for the "left to die" thread but it's actually with MOT (despite a list of issues that seems to be growing with age). There's a very early 99 down the road which I'll try and get a pic of later

When was the last time you saw a rot free Chroma? This was parked amongst the Range Rovers and Mercs on Harley Street - left hand drive on UK plates.

This has been frequently spotted in Highgate - sounds very fruity

Not sure what's under the bonnet here

This was parked behind my local indy so let's hope it's back on the road soon
