Elan
Recent? I used to see a white Elan drophead abandoned in a Durham village by the side of a busy A road for decades until perhaps 10 years ago. Owner had the village store opposite and sat watching it all those years refusing any offers of interest.

I often wondered what happened to it, whether it was sold, someone said it had just been moved to fester somewhere else nearby where the owner got less hassle!

‘35 Ford 3-Window? And a ‘37-‘40 Ford Coupe. Surprised they’ve not been snapped up and rodded smile

The probability of guns in that thar region may be a slight deterrent

It's rarer than that, it's a '35 Buick Coupe, and what a lovely thing it is.

Could be a '34 as they're virtually identical but can't see enough detail in the picture.

I did wonder; wasn’t certain it was a Ford smile

That Buick is proportionally perfect.

Has this one been posted? I stole the picture from Instagram and don’t know any details.

The number plate appears to be just one letter followed by the number 8, so will be hugely valuable.

Many times, but definitely worth the occasional repost. Bloody rare - it's a Renault 25, isn't it?
Proton!

I thought it might be a well known car. I’d love to know just how many times the owner had been approached with offers to buy it.

As the stretched Rover seems to have disappeared, maybe that's off being restored and the Aston is next on the list. Makes perfect sense - do up the Rover, sell it, and use the income from that for a ground-up rebuild on the Aston Martin.

Gotta be a parrot involved there, can’t see much love for a stretched old rover that would cost a probably a lot to fix up and not be worth much in the end anyway. Aston would cost a fortune to fix up, I bet you could throw 30k at that easily and still not have it looking good or running properly.

On Bangers and Cash, somebody quoted on restoring a DB6 and it was just a bit more than 30K.

To restore it properly by a specialist I guess £100k minimum

The 30k might do the engine and suspension, though..

They reckoned £200k+ with no chance you would get anywhere near your total outlay if you went to sell it.
