Could be a 325i Sport with Alpina alloys. Too right they can go for big money - check this out!

Is it A30/35? Smooth case gearbox, long gear lever, lever arm shocks.

Have another eek Mind you, I don’t suppose we should be surprised when you see the bonkers prices that other cars of the era such as ‘fast’ Fords (RS2000s, Cosworth/RS500s etc) fetch.

yep, thats why its such a waste such beautiful car, if its a real 325is(port) it was very expensive even when new with all those options.

I remember at the time were I lived in Wierden the Netherlands, there was one of such car also fully specked and new at the time, I lived there for almost 11 years and that older-ish guy still had it, saw him once in a while driving very relaxed and keeping it like new, what a car, every time I saw it I looked at it.

The most perfect e30, very decent and style-ish car, you could see it was something special, not as vulgäre then say a e30 M3 it had a anthracite colour, really cool.

Sorry, but I used to see 325i Sports everyday. Typical junior yuppie mobile, before they moved up to a Porsche. In contrast seeing an LHD only E30 M3 was something special, purchased by someone with more interest in driving dynamics and less in their image.

Edit. Yuppie hierarchy: Golf GTi, BMW 325i Sport, Porsche 944, Porsche 911.

Porsche’s were always lots of money for the average Joe. When I was looking for my 944 a few years ago, one I went to see was a 1987 E reg 2.5 n/a and the guy had the original sales invoice for something like £28k! They’re cheap as chips now relatively ... ! (and a great daily, I might add)

When you look at that list, the 944 stands out as very undervalued nowadays. Never had one but my Dad test drove an S2 when they were brand new and it was impressively quick. I was sat in the back and remember banging my head against the roof when he gave it the beans.

Got to agree. They are very cheap and the drive is superb, they are so well-balanced. Prices are creeping up for the good ones but that doesn’t concern me as mine will never be worth a lot.

Another 944 fan here. Great for road rallies; agile, long-legged and fast enough (if anything is ever fast enough).
