COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST! (Vol 3)
Discussion
Cheers guys,link here: https://www.manxmotorracing.com/index.php
Always a very eclectic mix of cars from pre-war to modern stuff. Think my favourite in recent years were a group of Frazer Nash racers, looked & sounded superb and weren't hanging around! Weather permitting it's a 3 day event starting today in the south of the island. Friday's takes place on the Glen Helen section of the TT course, Saturday's from below Ramsey Hairpin to past the Gooseneck. Handily the latter is almost on my doorstep - I can see them from my bathroom window but the smells at the start line are somewhat more pleasant..

It does! Yet these were hulking great things back in the day...O/T: can you date a car from an IoM registration? Just curious.
The number on that BMW dates to the early nineties bearing no relation to its age just when it was registered here.

Love that!Remember going to the Audi dealer in the mid '70s with my dad when he was looking at getting an 80. Markhouse Road Audi in Leyton, East London.
The quality, especially the paintwork seemed so superior to the Citroen GS he had at the time. Lovely firm seats too.
He didn't buy one.

Also like the Fiat Dino coupe, was it a 2.0 or a 2.4?
those come not cheep, no idea though if they are a good drive by todays standards, never driven one.
If the J plate was a genuine indicator of it's age it would be a 2.4. I've never driven one either, just always thought they looked fantastic! those come not cheep, no idea though if they are a good drive by todays standards, never driven one.
There were a few black ones in the original Italian Job film.
They started off as two blue cars and one red car.
They were repainted for the film, to make them look more intimidating and mafia-esque
