Looks like an early 16v Integrale - arches, bonnet, LHD etc. Radiator looks suspiciously new so maybe mid rebuild?
Exactly - '89 to '91. Well, the 16v had the bonnet bulge, but some people have swapped the 16v bonnet onto the earlier 8v. Is there any other way to tell from the pic?

Definitely an Integrale (non evo), arches, headlights and left hand drive are the giveaway. The photo is misleading, at the time that I owned mine, my sister had a Rover 216 GTI and I don't remember her car looking that much bigger than mine.

One of the more nerdy classic car journalist, Nick Larkin i think, tried to save the prototype and it was an uphill battle I recall. No one cared except him!
Yep that is a rare beast now!

Dad had a very early 'wedge' 1975, I cannot remember what 'badge engineered model' it was (will dig it out). It was however, not a great car!

My late dad had a succession of these. I remember the 2.2 HLS in brown with brown vinyl roof went quite nicely and was very comfortable with all the brown velour.

In western Lake District. Would've been horrible to get the firetruck all the way to this location - down miles of winding narrow lanes and hairpins...
Nice find, but looks like it’s in need of some anti-perspirant!

A chance to chat to the ice cream man while you're there, last time I went he was just staring at the ceiling, I think he's depressed.

Pretty sure the truck is a 1947 Dodge Power Wagon - but what about the car? Split screen and grille shape suggests early 50's Pontiac - any experts?

Some more pics of the Merc I saw recently - I was closeby again yesterday and took some more. Not rare enough to warrant restoring really as the sills ain’t great. Paintwork would probably polish up okay …
