no 'shiny paint' requirement wink

how did it get an 'H' plate would be my question, 'historic value' unmodified, good condition? takes 'Patina' a bit far

Citroen DS(?) convertible spotted in Rutherglen. Don't be put off by the fact that it's on the back of a recovery truck, both it and the truck have not moved in about 5 years as far as I'm aware.

Hopefully the fact it's SORN'd and the Silver Shadow in the background is receiving some treatment means that it will be fully restored at some point.

Has this been mentioned before? If so, apologies, but I find it so terribly sad.

I can confirm that loon drives around in a burnt Rolls Royce

his old place that burned out was just up the road from my flat at the time, I did a thread on it I think, fire was at least 7 years ago, he's still running it like that
This is his RR

The Jag next to it looks a bit, well, furry?

Even if not a genuine Chapron that DS is probably quite valuable, shame it is open to the elements.

Not a chance it's a Chapron.

Still a fun thing though.

I am no expert on Minis but isn't that an Innocenti shell/doors with opening front quarterlights?
Certainly Innocenti style quarterlights, the only Minis to have them as far as I know. Not sure the shell was any different though.
I think the boot lid had a different number plate recess, but external door hinges didn't go until about '68 I think.
No expert either, but Minis have undergone all sorts of chops and changes over the years at the hands of generations of spotty yoof owners. 'Apparently' lots of Minis that were just outside the historic tax class when it was introduced inherited the VIN numbers of rotten older Mini shells that were too far gone to see the road again. That is definitely a post MK3 shell, 1970 onwards, going by the door hinges. Its a mixed bag of allsorts. The bootlid handle is Mk1 or MkII, and it may well have the bigger disc brakes of post 1985 cars, hence the 12" wheels !

Quite staggered by this one myself but it's been sat here for months looking completely un loved. I presume it's taxed or it would have been towed. The tyres are now flat.

I don't, Granada has 5 stud wheels that has 6, just like a Dodge Viper...

Saw these at a transport show I attended at the weekend

The Mk1 is taxed and used like that!

Would love to leave this as is and put a cossie engine in! Only done 38k from new and the rust is only light cosmetic surface rust:

This had just been found in a barn (why can I never find such barns!!)

The blue and white one had also just been found ready for a resto:
